We are Common in name, but not in achievements. Since 1962, Common (CCA) has developed a solid reputation of being a best-in-class leader in accounts receivable management programs in Canada. Originally founded as Commonwealth Collection Agency, the company evolved into Common, the name by which most clients refer to the company.

Common is privately held, owned and managed by Canadians. The reality is that there is very little that is common about Common Collection Agency! 

Believing that you cannot be ‘all things to all people’ the management team has strategically positioned the company to serve clients within proven areas of expertise and core competencies. In fact, we have long sustained strategic partnerships that in many cases exceed 10 years.

Common is nationally licensed in all provinces and jurisdictions with a centralized call centre in Ontario and a regional office in Quebec.


Equally important is the fact that 100% of our business activities are on behalf of Canadian creditors.
We are not distracted by working with clients or debtors in the U.S. market, thereby allowing our team to
focus all of our effort on meeting the needs of our Canadian clients. Nor are we distracted by working our own
purchased debt, unlike many of our competitors. It is our belief that focus drives consistent performance and
long term sustained relationships.
